Hello, I just replaced my heater hoses with silicon ones and there is a small coolant leak that drips at times (the drip gets bigger when the car shuts down). I have made sure I tightened the hoses well but it still leaks some of the time. Will coolant flush (Prestone) cause this? The cleaner did seem to foam up a bit while it was running through the radiator. My coolant overflow tank is also cracked so I put a vacuum cap on the radiator for now to stop the flow from radiator to the overflow tank. Would too much pressure cause this since I capped the radiator overflow nipple? I might have reversed connected the heater hoses, would that cause it? Also, the heater does not blow hot air unless I put it on econ mode. Is that normal? The car has been sitting out for about 7 years and I want to take care of all the maintenance before I drive it. Thanks for any help.
